I have been taking photos for around a quarter of a century, but it took the digital revolution to kickstart my journey to greater creative heights. Drawing inspiration from both the natural and man-made world, featuring subjects both expansive and humble, exotic and mundane – photography in all its forms has become a daily obsession, and a life-enhancing, therapeutic process. Following my recent departure from traditional photography, I feel freed from the shackles of convention, and better able to express myself creatively. For me, the taking of the photo is only the beginning of the creative process, rather than the end of it.
I have received a five-page spread featuring my work plus an interview, in a national photographic magazine, and my images of Iceland have been used by an Icelandic web-based tourist guide to that country. My photos of Norfolk have become globally reknowned on the web, enhancing my reputation and bringing the subtle, understated charms of Norfolk and Suffolk to a worldwide audience.
